CASTING for “Karen or Bust”
Feature Film “Karen or Bust” will be shooting in the summer of 2017 July/August for fifteen days. This film is a period piece set in 1966. We are inviting all NON UNION talent to come for an audition Saturday, June 17th, 2017. This is unpaid. We can promise you the film will be completed, we will make it as fun and amazing as possible, and you will get footage for your use in a reel. What we can’t offer in hard cash we can provide an opportunity to get lines in a great film which will be seen by audiences.

SYNOPSIS:
Before the Summer of Love, sixteen year old Ringo, who lives in the secluded berg of Troy, New York, has a dream about an old girlfriend “Karen.” On a whim Ringo and his best friend Freddie decide to “ride their thumbs” and hitchhike to try and find her. Along the way they have their first encounters with the movements that defined the sixties. An odyssey that leads from the prejudice backwoods of North Carolina to the jail cells of Southern Florida culminating with the beginning of gay rights in Baltimore. Karen or Bust is “Easy Rider” for a new generation.
