Our film is a teen comedy drama set in the 1990s. A 16 year old girl thinks her life is over as she finds herself shipped off to an Evangelical boarding school by her religious aunt. Life as the new kid is never easy but in this surreal setting, she’s able to find her place among two fellow misfits who introduce Cameron to the pleasures of normal teen life.
Our director is an award winner filmmaker and we have a very exciting cast on board but are not able to disclose who just yet.
We will begin shooting the 25th of October - around Saugerties NY.
We are looking for the following to be part of a montage explaining the life of a few disciples before the school. For example one kid (Jane) grew up in a commune and we explain her peculiar upbringing. The montage will be very similar to Wes Anderson montage in Rushmore:
We haven’t named all the characters yet but we would be happy to credit them with actual names. We are looking for both SAG and non-SAG actors.
Most of the below roles are paid - however we are also looking for teens and young 20 year olds who would be happy to be in our Homecoming and Rock band scene. And we won’t be able to pay all of them sadly. Not sure if you’ll be able to help us with that but any help would be greatly appreciated!
