Albany Talent will be offering a free New Models & Actors Information Seminar at the Red House Theater and Arts Center in downtown Syracuse on Sunday January 20th from 1 to 3pm. The Red House Theater is located at 201 S. West St. and the seminar will include information on how the modeling and talent industry works, the philosophies of Albany Talent, how we represent people, what types of jobs we book, what are the typical rates, marketing tools necessary, training and education, etc. The class will be taught by Albany Talent owner James Pentaudi. Call 518-334-2918 to sign up. We recommend arriving a bit early.
After that seminar, a Photographic Movement seminar will be offered to those models and actors who wish to take it from 4-7pm. The cost is $80 and teaches the art of “self-directed movement”-in other words, how to get in front of the camera and do it all by yourself” for better headshots, how to click into the model mind and body, better attitudes and more control. Below is a letter written by a mother to an agency director in Philadelphia:
Kelli (owner of Wilhelmina Philadelphia),
My daughter Kassie just attended the Photomovement class with James Pentaudi last weekend. She really enjoyed it and came out of the training with a vast knowledge on how to be comfortable in front of the camera and how to take a great shot. James is truly a great instructor, full of energy and very engaging. His knowledge of the industry and his craft is evident in the seminar. His enthusiasm and love of what he does spills over to the students and leaves them with the ability to have confidence on their first photo-shoot. For this we are most appreciative. We are fortunate to be able to have such a great resource to work with.
James mentioned that there is the opportunity to take an Advanced Photomovement class. He said to send you an e-mail of our interest. Please include Kassie in this class once you set a date.
Again, Kassie really mastered so much working with James. On Wednesday, she will have her first photo-shoot with Alessandro Babini. She is eager to put her new skills to use!! Thanks so very much!
